He wasn't there as "The Wedding Singer," but Adam Sandler played a pivotal role in the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce marriage.

Swift's representative confirmed that the actor-comedian officiated the July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden.

While seemingly an unconventional choice, Sandler, Swift and Kelce have been in each other's orbit for several years.

Swift has become good friends with Sunny and Sadie, Sandler's teen daughters with wife Jackie. At a 2023 screening of Swift's concert documentary, "The Eras Tour," the singer made a point to stop by Sandler's row and chat with the girls for a few minutes.

The Swift-Sandler friendship extended to Kelce, who revisited his acting chops with an appearance in last year's "Happy Gilmore 2," the sequel to the 1996 breakout comedy for Sandler.

Kelce played a bully of a restaurant manager who fires a busboy (played by Bad Bunny). The busboy, Oscar, fantasizes about slathering honey over Kelce's bared chest as he is tied to a pole, leaving him to be eaten by a bear.

Back in real life, Swift and Kelce did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, but members of their family by their sides. Swift enlisted brother Austin as her man of honor and Jason Kelce served as the groom's best man.
