Travis Kelce’s Former Suit Designer Predicts His Wedding Tux Will Pay Tribute to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour (Exclusive)

Travis Kelce’s former suit designer predicts his wedding tux may reference Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with a classic twist

Designer Tom Marchitelli expects Kelce to wear bespoke Louis Vuitton for the ceremony and multiple outfits throughout the night

Marchitelli styled Kelce for years and calls him one of the most influential athletes in fashion across all sports

Predicting the wedding-day looks of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is a fashion lover's Super Bowl — and no one knows that better than Kelce's former suit designer, Tom Marchitelli, who exclusively tells PEOPLE he expects the NFL star's tux to feature a subtle nod to the pop superstar's Eras Tour.

Marchitelli believes the Kansas City Chiefs star, 36, will pay tribute to his fiancée's history-making, record-breaking global tour with a look reminiscent of the outfit he wore when he joined Swift, 36, onstage in a top hat and tux during her third show at London's Wembley Stadium on June 23, 2024.

"I thought that looked pretty awesome on him and white tie is the highest form of dressing for a man. I think that's an incredible look," Marchitelli tells PEOPLE exclusively ahead of the couple's rumored Fourth of July weekend wedding date.

"Long coattails, a top hat and then white tie attire — a white vest, also known as a waistcoat, a white shirt and a white bow tie," he predicts of what Kelce could wear for the ceremony. "There are many different variations you can do of that."

"He could do that coattails look with a pattern or a black on black print," he puts forth. "Adding diamond lapel pins and other accessories. He could have a chain wallet or a vest chain. There are many ways he could do that differently, but I think that's on the table for sure."

Since first working together in 2016 after connecting via DMs, Marchitelli has gone on to style Kelce for numerous red carpets and events. At the time, the designer crafted the athlete's suits for every road game, for a total of approximately eight outfits that season.

The sought-after sports stylist — who has a client roster of 500-plus athletes across the NFL, MLB and NBA — continued to work with the football player in the five years that followed, and has noticed his influence in the fashion space ever since.

"When I think of Travis, I think of him being one of the most influential athletes in terms of style across all sports," Marchitelli says, noting, "This was well before he was a Super Bowl champion and a household name."

Having worked with Kelce for five straight years on 20-plus looks throughout the football seasons, Marchitelli has a solid understanding of the tight end's fashion sense, despite his style having "changed so much over the years" since they last worked together.

"He's kind of all over the place with his style on carpets and for major events because honestly, he knows that he looks good in anything. He just has so much aura, swag and confidence," Marchitelli says of the three-time Super Bowl champion.

That's what makes Marchitelli's Eras Tour prediction not so far-fetched. However, the concert look isn't the sought-after suit designer's top bet for the tight end's wedding ceremony look. Rather, he thinks he'll keep it classic.

"I think he's going to wear bespoke Louis Vuitton. That is 100% my prediction," he shares. "I know that a wedding of this magnitude has all the major fashion houses in Paris and Italy battling out to see who can have their designer label on him."

"Obviously, I wish I was the one boasting that I'm the one doing it, but I'm not," he says with a laugh. "I think he wants to give Taylor her fairytale moment for the ceremony and show up more on the classic side."

For the sartorially obsessed, don't be afraid to cast multiple predictions. Marchitelli thinks there will be multiple looks worn throughout the night.

"I think we'll see his edginess come out with wardrobe changes. I expect him to be in a minimum of three outfits. I wouldn't be surprised if he changes every hour," he predicts. "A ceremony look, a reception change — and then if there's a concert part or an afterparty, another outfit for sure."

If there's one thing Marchitelli knows for sure, it's that Kelce's most formal look will be the one he wears when he says "I do" to Swift.

"That's the picture that's going to last forever," he says. "Whoever is lucky enough to photograph their wedding moment... it will be the most viral social media picture in history."
