**Warning: This article contains spoilers about episodes 4 and 5 on season 4 of *The Traitors.***

It was no laughing matter on episode 4 of *The Traitors* when *Big Brother* star Tiffany Mitchell was mistakenly banished by the Faithful. That’s because the banishment rested largely on the testimony of Eric Nam, who told the others that he recognized Tiffany’s laugh when he was blindfolded and tied to a tree during the previous night’s murder.

Even though it wasn’t actually Tiffany’s chortle, that evidence was enough to convict her in the court of the Roundtable, especially after an aggressive opening argument by Colton Underwood, who had announced he was going to take a big swing, and then took it at Tiffany. Thet led to a heated exchange in which Tiffany informed the former Bachelor that “I am definitely smarter than you” while Colton responded by asking if she had one F or two in her name so he could write it down correctly.

In the end, Tiffany collected 15 of the 18 banishment votes and was the sixth player eliminated from the game.

What does Tiffany make of Colton coming for her? Why were she and Yam Yam Arocho going at it? And what *didn’t* make the final edit that we should know about? We asked Tiffany all of that and more when we connected the day after her televised ouster, and you can now watch or read the entire interview below.

**: So, let’s get to the most important question first: What *does* it sound like when you laugh?**

**TIFFANY MITCHELL: **It all depends. Today, I'm horse, so, you know, it's like a [Laughs] today. Who knows? But somebody with some 99% magical ears knows it's that 1% that I might not laugh my own laugh, you know? You have to find out what it sounds like when you're tied to a tree in a forest and I'm in bed in the castle.

**What was your reaction to that? Were you like, "All right, he's a Traitor and he's just trying to throw me under the bus?" Or did you just think he legitimately thought it was your laugh?**

At that moment, it was comical. As hot as I was at Colton, as much as I'm up here defending myself, when Eric opens his mouth, that is not at all what I am expecting him to say about me. I'm expecting some kind of suspicions that he has about me, never that he heard me laugh. I know I'm not there. I know you didn't hear me laugh. I can't even defend that. That's impossible. What do I say to that?

**That was exactly my thought. How do you even defend yourself against that?**

I can't, I can't ... And he's such a believable person. Blaming and putting something on someone who already has suspicion that everyone around the Roundtable has at that point, he sold them this. And a lot of people told me at the Roundtable when they voted for me it was based on what Eric was saying. And I was like: I'm done, man. I'm fried.

** Who is smarter: You or Colton?**

I'm smarter than Colton. He had really pissed me off. I don't usually talk to people like that. I really don't. Listen, I know me. I know where I come from. I know I got it in me. I always try to keep it locked in a box underneath the stairs in another box. He brought it out.

**So when you say that, maybe that's not what you're referring to, but you said you told yourself before the game, "Be careful with how you are because not everybody will understand." What did you mean by that? What would they not understand?**

Just the mechanics of my mind and how it works and me strategizing and wanting to talk to people. Even aligning with Michael, there were some aspects where people were like, "This is a game," but then there were other aspects that were like, "Well, that's a personal decision." And I'm like, “It's a game decision to me to be aligned with Michael, but he also doesn't bother me like he bothers y'all.”

I'm not saying I agree with the things he says and does, but I don't give a s---. Like, I'm trying to get to the end of this game. That's what he's here for. He's here to distract you and you're allowing him to distract you. He's not distracting me. So I knew that I think further ahead. There are certain mechanics to the way I think and the way I play and I was telling myself: Chill, don't go in there like that, just relax and people might not understand.

**Why do you think Colton was so fixated on you? Do you think it was strategic? Was it personal?**

Maybe Colton likes me. Maybe he sees something in me that he would like to have in him. [Laughs]

**Have you and Colton connected at all after the game?**

**Do you think that's going to happen?**

Well, we have a reunion.

**Do you think you were pointed at as a Traitor because people figured that there *must* be a *Big Brother* or *Survivor* player in the turret, because every other season has had at least one of each?**

I don't think I was looked at until Colton said my name. I think it was me trusting the wrong people and laying out my thoughts, which to me were not even, like, real deep strategic thoughts. I didn't think that was anything. I'm like, "This is a basic ass assumption of who I think might be a Traitor and how we might need to go about it. " But he took it as I had this blueprint and I was like, "Bro, this is remedial ass. This is just simple. What are you talking about?" [Laughs]

I think that once he brought it to people as “She's got this elaborate plan,” which, to me, if I'm talking about the people who we all think are Traitors and I'm a Traitor, how can I as a Traitor give you a Traitor? But nobody's thinking. You mean to tell me I as a Traitor gave you Donna? Day two? That makes no sense. Why would I give up a fellow Traitor?

**What was going on with you and Yam Yam?**

It really was a matter of me being suspicious of Yam Yam wanting to be the only winner or the best gamer or the biggest gamer personality there. But when Rob C got killed, Rob and I had already had conversations about who we suspected if there's a gamer in the turret, if there's a gamer that would kill Ian. And then when Rob C came up murdered, I was just like, *Oh, no. I really suspect Yam Yam.*

His energy with Michael and them going back and forth and people wondering if Michael is a Traitor because of his energy. And I'm like, "Well, y'all failing to realize that Yam Yam is meeting Michael with the same energy? So it's giving Bob the Drag Queen – Boston Rob energy to me, maybe it's two queens fighting in the turret." So he just was a little suspicious to me.

**Rob knows Yam Yam out of the game and he told me Yam Yam seemed off and wasn't the same Yam Yam that he knew outside of the game once he got in the castle. It sounds like you were getting sort of hinky vibes off him as well.**

I had never met anyone. I just watched Yam Yam’s season and I also felt that Yam Yam was someone no one would banish. I didn't feel like he would get voted off. He has this thing where everyone was eating out of his hand and I'm like, "No, I don't like it. We just gotta get him up out of here because something is not right."

**What else did we not see at that Roundtable? Or in general on the show? What didn’t make the final edit that we should know about?**

It's a lot to get all of the connections and the conversations and the closeness of the relationships. You get to see that Candiace does have this relationship with me. And I love that she was fighting for me, and I really didn't know that. I was really surprised at the Roundtable, but I did think that we were connected.

I felt that we were good, but sometimes you don't know if it's game or if it's genuine and she's so sweet and she's been so sweet to me even after the show. I think it's just those conversations and the nature of how these relationships come together. I really was with Lisa, and Dorinda, and Maura — those were my girls. I'm such a girl's girl. Shoot, Dalton, I thought I was gonna be on the Housewives! I said, "Well, we're not done with this then."

**There’s still time, Tiff! There’s still time!**

Well, Dalton, I have no husband.

**That's step one.**

You know what Lisa told me? Lisa said, "You don't need one." I said, "Good."

**You’ve now done *Big Brother, The Challenge* twice, and *The Traitors.* Is it frustrating going to these games and not being able to secure the bag?**

You know, I have to look at everything and that everything happens for a reason. Me not even winning *Big Brother* was what allowed me to be on another show where people wanted to see me win something and wanted to see me play again and champion around me. This was such a fun game to play. It was so fun to dress up and be in a castle and be in Scotland and be with other people that, I don't even know how I would've gotten in the rooms with these people.

It was an amazing feeling, right? And it was a great, fun game to play. And even though I did not win, how am I not a winner? How am I not a winner with all of the love that people have been showing me, the connections that I've made, the experience I've had, crossing over from CBS to Peacock. Winning the money is a need, right?

But I look at this as an opportunity of greater things to come. I'm still a winner. Of course, I need the money. I would love to have it. Somebody can send me the money right now. If you really feel inclined and you wanna see me okay, then you can donate to me. I do accept Zelle Cash App, um, direct deposit, cash, you can drop it off. It really doesn't matter to me. You can just send me a credit card. I don't mind. [Laughs]

**I like to see that on the show. I get the feeling sometimes some of the people there, their bank accounts are pretty flush and full and winning is not that important. But for you, it was important. You mentioned that on the show. I think people like to see that there actually are stakes here.**

That's honestly what was pissing me off. I'm like, "Hey, y'all can banish me, halfway down the road, but I need to get this money." And I was looking at everybody at that table. I said, "Versace, Chanel, Louie, y'all mother---ers got money. Where is mine?" You don't even need to be here. You just came to be on TV.”

**Exactly! Okay, I’ll ask you the same question I asked Ian. Who is the next *Big Brother* star that should go on The Traitors?**

Get Hannah Chaddha. Because she's a genius, she's intelligent, she's classy, she is every bit of a sneaky little Traitor, but she can scope you out if she's a Faithful. She can play both sides of the coin just as well. And I would like to see Morgan from this last season. I think that she can go in this castle and slay as well. My brain is still stuck on me, so all of my *Big Brother* people have to forgive me for not saying you, but at a later time, I'll make sure I get some names together.
