It isn’t Met Gala Monday without Rihanna. And yesterday, she not only celebrated fashion’s biggest night with a show-stopping red-carpet look, but also with a pre-party fit pulled straight off the runway.

The star’s fabulous brown coat was designed by Anthony Vaccarello for his Fall/Winter 2026 collection for Saint Laurent. With an oversize silhouette, pillowy bubble hem, and sparkling bow accent, it offered an altogether chicer take on the puffer jacket—without sacrificing comfort.

The piece was only elevated by the belt, which cinched the waist to add a bit of shape back into the voluminous look and supplied a sparkling bow accent.

But it was the luscious fur stole that made the outerwear what it was, elevating it to be evening-wear-ready and mixing drama with classic glamour.

Because the temperatures weren’t too low in New York City yesterday, Rihanna simply layered her coat over a lacy black bra. She let the fur fall slightly off her shoulder to reveal the undergarment’s scalloped hem and semi-sheer fabric.

As for her makeup, the Fenty Beauty founder kept things simple save for a bold red lip. And for accessories, she reminded us she’s a master at high-low dressing—pairing a New York Yankees baseball cap with glistening chunky jewelry: massive diamond hoops, a matching necklace, and several rings. Her pointed-toe satin heels even had built-in anklets that sparkled in the camera flash. What a star.
