Josh Allen is sharing how his nighttime routine has adjusted since welcoming his baby daughter Harper.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 30, appeared on a Friday, Aug. 28 episode of Mad Dog Sports Radio and shared that he and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, have changed a few things about how they wind down before bed to accommodate their 4-month-old daughter, Harper Haize.
“We’re trying to limit the screens ‘cause if there’s a screen, she’s over there looking,” said Allen of Harper. “When we know that [her] eyes [are] closed and almost out, me and my wife play the New York Times crossword every night.”

He went on to explain that he and Steinfeld, 29, also do the New York Times’ daily Connections and Wordle games.
“That’s our little routine that we love doing,” he said, sharing his apt first guess for Wordle. “It’s harps, H-A-R-P-S.”
The Sinners star announced in April that she welcomed her baby girl with her husband in a post on her Substack, titled “Special Delivery.”

“Our baby girl has arrived!!” she wrote in the newsletter. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”

Then in July, Allen gave some insight into how he and Steinfeld landed on their daughter’s name while chatting with E! News.
“It was an early thought that we had,” said Allen. “It was my wife’s idea.”
Asked whether Harper is a family name or has any special significance, the NFL pro added, “She can answer that question better than I can.”
After the two welcomed their little one, Allen spoke about finding his groove with fatherhood. “I mean, I think it definitely changes mindset a little bit. I’m very excited,” he began. “I do think this is going to be the best version of myself. You know, in all aspects, in my professional career, in my personal life.” He then praised Steinfeld, whom he wed in May 2025, for supporting his career as they navigated being parents.
“It’s such a blessing, and I’ve got an absolute rockstar of a wife that’s doing so many things right now and allowing me to be here right now and be with my teammates,” he continued, noting it’s a “special time.”
