Hunter King and Chris Copier are officially married — and the two are giving a peek at their "intimate dinner party" wedding in Italy.
On Wednesday, June 10, The Young and the Restless star andEmmy winner, 32, tied the knot with filmmaker Chris Copier at La Torre sulla Via Francigena in Tuscany, Italy. The couple, who were surrounded by 40 of their closest friends and family as they said "I Do," share exclusive pictures and details with PEOPLE.
"I worked in Italy a few years ago on a Hallmark movie, and we completely fell in love with the country," King tells PEOPLE. "One weekend, we took the train to Florence and then a taxi out to a winery in Tuscany. I remember looking at the rolling hills and thinking, 'We should get married here one day.'"
"It felt like something out of a dream. So a few years later, we made that dream happen," she shares.

King and Copier wanted to lean into the "natural beauty" of the Tuscan countryside. Their venue, which is a 12th century-farmhouse that's been converted into a small hotel, was already "absolutely stunning," so the two didn't need much other décor.
"We wanted everything to feel effortless, romantic and lived-in," they share. "So more wildflowers than perfectly polished arrangements. Casual, but elevated."
Above all else, King wanted her wedding to feel like an "intimate dinner party" where a wedding just so happened to be taking place. "We're pretty laid-back people, so it was important that the day felt like us," she explains.

"Cozy, romantic, garden party vibes with incredible food, great conversation and everyone we love gathered around one table. That's exactly how it felt," adds King.
As for what was actually on the table, King and Copier share that good food was one of their non-negotiables. Their venue makes their own wine, which the couple served, and the two even planned to ship some home.
"We served family style Italian food, which felt perfect for the atmosphere we wanted to create," says King. "The night before, we had a pizza party where the chef made what felt like every pizza imaginable, and every single one was incredible."

"On the wedding day, we had grazing boards, crostinis, handmade pastas, Florentine steak, a cannoli bar...it just kept coming," she continues. "It honestly might have been my favorite meal I've ever had."
King walked down the aisle while her brother-in-law Casey played guitar. She wore a Sarah Seven dress which she found at their Los Angeles boutique, as well as jewels from Brilliant Earth. The actress said she knew she wanted a dress that was "timeless and simple," but also "undeniably romantic."
"I wanted to feel elegant while still feeling like myself," she shares. "And the moment I put the dress on, I knew it was the one. It truly felt like my dream dress."
King's bridesmaids — including sister Joey King — wore Betsey Johnson, while the actress donned heels from the brand.

The ceremony, which was officiated by King's best friend David, felt "incredibly personal." The two said David was the perfect officiant who had guests "laughing one minute and crying the next." King and Copier exchanged handwritten vows, which ended up being a special moment for the star.

"Hearing Chris's vows is something I'll carry with me forever," she says. "There wasn't a dry eye anywhere."
When it was time for dessert, guests enjoyed sorbet and Catalan cream before a Millefoglie, which is a traditional Italian wedding cake that translates to "a thousand layers."
"One of my favorite moments was getting to finish decorating it ourselves in front of all of our guests by adding the cream, berries and powdered sugar," says King. "Right as we finished, fireworks went off. It felt absolutely magical."
The party continued with a live band during cocktail hour and throughout dinner, which then seamlessly transitioned into a DJ once everyone hit the dance floor. King and Copier danced their first dance to "Sweet Love" by Myles Smith, which is one of the actress's favorite songs.

The two remember the wedding as a "dream come true." King says that there's nothing she would change about the event, which was planned by Klara Bebono of Bebono Weddings.
"But at the end of the day, I could have married Chris in a courthouse, in a field, or in our living room and it still would have been perfect because it meant marrying him," she explains. "Italy just happened to be the icing on the cake."
King says that marrying Chris, who proposed to the actress on a beach in October 2024, feels like "coming home." She calls him her "best friend, my greatest adventure and my safe place" all at once.
"Marriage, to me, is finding the person you want to experience every part of life with," King says. "The highs, the lows, the ordinary Tuesdays and the once-in-a-lifetime moments. It's choosing each other every day, and I couldn't be more grateful that I get to choose him forever."

As they look ahead to their next chapter, King and Copier share they're just "soaking in" being newlyweds.
"We've waited so long for this season of life, and I want to stay in this little newlywed bubble for as long as possible," she says.
And while it's "impossible" to pick "just one" favorite moment from her wedding, King says it was the few seconds after the ceremony ended that were among the best.
"Walking back down the aisle hand-in-hand with my husband while all of our family and friends were cheering around us is a feeling I'll never forget," she says. "I've never felt happier."
