The Broadway star, 51, and Song Sung Blue actor, 57, stepped out at the 2026 Met Gala together in New York City on Monday, May 4. The couple walked the steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in elegant coordinating looks.
Foster stunned in a gold metallic one-shoulder gown with gathered material at the front and a subtle slit. She accessorized with jewelry by Fred Leighton. Jackman kept things simple, opting for a classic black tux and silver brooch pin.
Jackman teased the couple's joint appearance ahead of time, sharing a sneak peek at their ensembles on Instagram and writing, "Off to the #METGALA2026." He also tagged Foster in the post.

Monday's appearance marked Foster's Met Gala debut. Jackman, meanwhile, is a seasoned attendee of the star-studded event — which, this year, features the dress code "Fashion is Art," a reflection of the Met's spring 2026 exhibition titled "Costume Art."
This year's dress code is intentionally open-ended, encouraging guests to treat clothing as a form of artistic expression and use the body as a canvas. Tied to the exhibition's focus on the “dressed body,” the theme invites designers and celebrities to explore how fashion interacts with form, rather than simply recreating famous artworks.
Jackman made his first solo Met Gala appearance back in 2024 in a simple black-and-white tuxedo — his go-to look for the annual event.

The solo appearance marked a departure for the star, who previously attended the event several times alongside his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. The former couple made their debut at the event in 2004.
Jackman and Foster — who were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic, and costarred on Broadway in a 2022 production of The Music Man — confirmed they were in a relationship by holding hands in January 2025.
Their red carpet debut came several months later, in October 2025, when they stepped out at the premiere of Jackman's film, Song Sung Blue. At the time, a source close to Foster told PEOPLE that the actors were "excited to share their future together" moving forward.

The pair have since made several more public appearances as a couple, including at the N.Y.C. premiere of Jackman's latest project, The Sheep Detectives, which Foster also attended.
The actors' romance came after both went through divorces.
In September 2023, Jackman separated from Furness, with whom he shares two adult children, after 27 years of marriage. Foster, meanwhile, filed for divorce from her ex-husband Ted Griffin in October 2024. The exes share daughter Emily, 7, together.
