Thereās nothing better than the taste of sweet, sweet revenge, and Kate got a whole lot in the latest episode of House of Villains. Sheās the captain of this shipāat least for this episode.
When we last left off, Plane Jane had been tossed through the trap door in a 5-1 vote, and the alliance of bros seemed unstoppable. Theyāve had four episodes straight of running things in the lair, nominating all of the fabulous women and gays. Drop to your knees and thank the reality TV gods that things shifted course in House of Villains Season 3 Episode 5, āLoose Lips Sink Swan Boats.ā

After narrowly escaping the Hit List, Kate set out on a mission to get payback, and it couldnāt have arrived at a better time. Tyson and his bestie, Sandoval, were ready to split away from Paul, Johnny, and Ashley, which gave Kate the perfect opportunity to hit back. Luckily for her, she managed to clench a bit of power just in the nick of time. The tides have officially turned.

Thereās a power struggle happening in the House of Villains lair, and Tyson is right in the middle of it. He kicked off Season 3 as the first Supervillain, and immediately aligned himself with Sandoval, Paul, and Johnny. Ashley hopped on the bandwagon with them and has become attached at the hip with Johnny ever since. That left all of the women, Plane Jane included, on the sidelines, ready to get picked off one by one.
After Planeās elimination, the numbers shifted. Paul, Johnny, and Ashley, who all happen to be roommates, gained an uneven sense of power. With that in mind, Tyson put on his Survivor hat, and he realized that it was time to switch tribes. He and Sandoval were ready to jump ship and team up with Kate, and maybe New York, depending on how sheās feeling that day.

To help break up this Ashley/Paul/Johnny alliance, Tyson and Kate devised a plan to make sure that those three didnāt win any power over the house. Kate said she would sabotage the Battle Royale Challenge, just like she did on The Traitors. Cue the footage of her literally throwing money away and pissing off the entire castle.
Hilariously, Kateās plan to sabotage the challenge did not go as expected. She actually won the challenge and became the Supervillain of the Week.
The challenge involved a messy game of telephone, and all of the players were kind of terrible at it. The fact that Johnny was constricted by his itsy bitsy teeny weenie shorts, Ashley was slowly succumbing to a mystery illness, and New York 100% did not take the challenge seriously, made it that much easier for Kate to sail to victory.
Of course, with great power comes great responsibility, and Kate just finally got some of it. She and Tyson couldnāt be more thrilled. Johnny, on the other hand? Heās well aware that he should be scared.

If you didnāt watch Kate on Below Deck for all of those years, this episode of HOV might be the one to make you go crack open the Bravo vault. She was giving main character energy throughout this whole episode, and every bit of it was perfect.
After winning Supervillain of the Week, she took Drita and Sandoval out for a ride around some swan-shaped pedal boats. They brainstormed who she should put on the Hit List, and Sandoval made it extremely clear that heās going to be loyal to Tyson until the very end. This bromance is solid.
When they got back to the lair, Kate decided to transform the Supervillainās suite into an āoffice.ā She lowered the lights and made everyone come in and pitch their case for why they shouldnāt go on the Hit List. It was bitchy. It was theatrical. Kate is in her element on this show.

Not only did the villains get to pitch their sides to Kate, she also left a suggestion box at the door. Anyone could drop their Hit List recommendation, but she definitely didnāt need help.

Kate nominated Johnny, Ashley, and Paul for the Hit List, taking a direct strike at the houseās strongest alliance. Things are going exactly as Tyson planned.
All strategy aside, these nominations were kind of a no-brainer for Kate. Just last week, Johnny put her up on the Hit List. Paul signed off on it, and Ashley is justā¦Ashley.
Supposedly, they were also the three people whose names came up the most in Kateās suggestion box. Paul took credit for that one, claiming to have written down both Johnny and Ashleyās names. Weāre not sure what the strategy is there. Maybe theyāre just committed to being a chaos agent.
As per the tradition of House of Villains, the three villains on the Hit List got to throw out some jabs at the Supervillain of the Week, as if thatās going to win them any favors in the grand scheme of things. Ashleyās comments about Below Deck, or āBelow the Deckā as Johnny would say, were the shadiest.
āIām very opening and nice to everyone, and you judge people because you worked on a rich boat one time,ā Ashley said. āI think she forgets she doesnāt own the boats she works on.ā
She continued, āLoosen your guard up around the house and have a good time. Try to smile once in a while. It will literally loosen your asshole a little bit.
Kate, completely unbothered, replied like she was Andy Cohen at a Real Housewives reunion.
āWe have to move on,ā Kate said.
House of Villains continues next Thursday at 9/8c on Peacock.
