The cast of Grease 2 had a mini high school reunion.
More than four decades after the film first hit theaters, several of its stars — including Lorna Luft, Adrian Zmed, Christopher McDonald and Maxwell Caulfield — reunited on the red carpet during the TCM Classic Film Festival at The Hollywood Roosevelt on April 30, celebrating the enduring legacy of the 1982 film.
The cast appeared to be in good spirits, laughing with one another at the event and speaking on a panel about their experience making the film.
"I'm honored and thrilled that TCM is realizing how many people love Grease 2, and I'm just grateful that it has the audience and it will continue on because I think that opening number in this movie is one of the great musical numbers of all," Luft told PEOPLE at the event.

Luft, 73, the daughter of Judy Garland, played the bubbly Paulette, while Zmed, 72, and McDonald, 71, brought swagger to the T-Birds as Johnny Nogarelli and Goose McKenzie, respectively.
Caulfield, 66, meanwhile, starred as Michael Carrington, the British new kid determined to win over Michelle Pfeiffer, who played Pink Ladies leader, Stephanie Zinone.

The reunion at the festival served as a reminder of just how much affection remains for the film all these years later.

In 2021, Caulfield opened up to PEOPLE about having a hard time watching Pfeiffer's star rise while his stalled a bit after Grease 2's release. "She delivers and she defines Hollywood beauty ... You can't begrudge them their success."
He added, "But ... simultaneously, it makes it that much tougher to see that you've been benched. And it took a long wait time to come back."
The film was a sequel to the first Grease, which was released in 1978 and starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John as greaser Danny Zuko and good girl Sandy Olsson. The musical grossed over $300 million and cemented Travolta and Newton-John as bona fide movie stars.
