On Oct. 3, Swift appeared on the UK-based talk show — marking her first TV appearance since her August 2025 engagement to Kelce— where Norton congratulated the "Opalite" singer on the news.

"There's a lot to congratulate Taylor Swift about, but the one I feel I ought to congratulate is the new bit of finger jewelry," Norton said, referring to Swift's sparkling Kindred Lubeck engagement ring.During a different segment of the episode, Norton pried further about the singer's then-impending wedding, asking, "Is next year the wedding year?""Oh, you'll know," Swift coyly replied."So you're going big?" he asked."I just mean that I was going to invite you," Swift replied, earning cheers from the crowd."If you're inviting me, it's very big," Norton joked, seemingly believing her invite was in jest.

While discussing her engagement with the host, Swift revealed more details about the special moment Kelce got down on one knee.

“He really crushed it when it came to surprising me," the singer-songwriter told Norton. "We had actually filmed a podcast episode — he has a podcast called New Heights— so we filmed the podcast for about three or four hours ... and meanwhile behind his house, he was having the whole back garden turned into this."

While Kelce went all out for the proposal, the couple also completely transformed Madison Square Garden for their big day.

In the days leading up to the nuptials, reports of just how big the wedding had become began to circulate, with The New York Times reporting the July 3 ceremony had roughly 1,000 guests.

Efforts were made to keep the couple's wedding festivities as locked down and private as possible, including heightened police presence around Madison Square Garden, barricades on streets surrounding the arena, a no-phone policy for guests, and reported NDAs for workers staffing the event. In January 2026, keeping his lips sealed surrounding the pop superstar's nuptials to the football star, Norton swiftly shut down wedding-related talk while chatting with Maria McErlane on the Wanging On podcast, citing "NDAs" as his reasoning — which he later claimed was just a joke.

“Ah, lovely Taylor Swift,” said the talk show host, as McErlane interjected, “Who invited you to her wedding!”

“I can say nothing,” Norton said, drawing a gasp from his co-host. “I've signed so many NDAs.”

McErlane also jokingly invited herself to the seemingly star-studded nuptials as her podcast co-host's plus-one — but the spot had already been filled, Norton said. “That is very, very exciting, and I'm very much looking forward to coming with you,” she joked, as Norton fired back, “Over my husband's dead body.”
