Country music star Garth Brooks' daughter, Allie Colleen, faced intense criticism after sharing her tribute to the late Dolly Parton.

The Queen of Country sadly died on August 24 following a short battle with cancer. Since her devastating death, countless fans have flooded social media, honoring the legendary performer.

However, Allie's personal message resonated poorly with many, as the 30-year-old seemed to dismiss grieving fans for having a parasocial connection with the icon. It comes as it was revealed Dolly will be buried in "plush cotton" beside her late husband Carl Dean as friends and family mourned the star.

Allie's divisive post stated, "My greatest fear in life is the day my Dad loses his life and I have to see the world mourn a man they never knew the way I knew him. To the personal family and friends of Mrs. Dolly you have all my love and condolences today and forever going forward." She went on, "What a huge, beautiful, special life to have loved and to grieve. Thank you for sharing her with us all."

Below the tribute, Allie received numerous comments challenging why she would publish the statement at all, as she seemed to be undermining her own position. One critic commented, "So you fear that people will do the same thing you're doing right now? Talking about yourself in such moment is so weird and self-centred."

Another individual stated, "This is the weirdest condolence post I have ever seen. It's giving how can I make something not about myself, about me. This is nepo baby at its worst." A third user weighed in, "Maybe I'm confused? How is this a good way of putting it? No one is allowed to be sad except the family? That's wild."

Yet another commented, "This is such a weird thing to say." Conversely, several supporters came to her defense, with one fan writing, "Yeah so she made is partially about her own life. That's only natural to think of your own mortality and those you love during times like this. Give her a break, nobody should be taking this personally. Her message was genuine and real, unlike the same ole same ole from so many. A wonderful tribute, Colleen."

Allie is the daughter of country music icon Garth Brooks, who stands among the highest-selling musical artists of all time, holding the record as the leading solo albums artist in United States history, surpassing Elvis Presley.

Renowned for his 1990s country anthems, Garth earned his place in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2012. His catalog features beloved hits including Friends in Low Places, The Dance, If Tomorrow Never Comes, The Thunder Rolls, and numerous other chart-toppers.

Allie has embraced her father's musical legacy, carving out her own path in country music. She dropped her first album STONES in 2019. Her notable tracks include Buck It, Tattoos, Halos and Horns, All I Want, Outlaw, alongside several other releases.
