Sorry, Luke Wilson, Elle Woods has some other love interests occupying her mind these days.
In Elle, the new Legally Blonde prequel series, Lexi Minetree's version of the character finds love in two very different classmates after her move to Seattle. She's crushing from the get-go on Miles (Jacob Moskovitz), but his relationship with Shannon (Danielle Chand) makes things messy, so she pivots to fake-dating Dustin (Zac Looker) in the hopes of throwing Kimberly (Chandler Kinney) — and anyone else — off the scent.
By the season 1 finale, the mess is even trickier. She got her rom-com-worthy first kiss (in the rain!) with Miles, but later shut him out over her fear of hurting Shannon. Her feelings for Dustin, on the other hand, came out of left field.
The final scene of the season sees Elle and Dustin share their first kiss after her surprise return from L.A., only for the camera to pan to a shocked Miles, who witnessed the whole thing.
"I love that Elle has a little love triangle going on," Minetree, 25, tells PEOPLE. "And both boys are so good. I literally flip back and forth."

Her costars, Kinney and Gabrielle Policano, who plays Liz, couldn't agree more. "We have full-on debates about it," Kinney tells PEOPLE in a joint interview with Minetree and Policano. "We could all argue both sides."
"God, it's tough," Minetree says of the love triangle.

The boys themselves are also pretty torn. "I think one of the nice things about this show, especially compared to some other kind of things where it feels like you're pulled in two different directions, is that both of them are reasonable options," Looker tells PEOPLE during a joint interview with Moskovitz.
Miles and Dustin "bring out different sides of her," Looker, 22, says. "And the question isn't necessarily which of these people are you going to pick, it's which parts of yourself are you going to explore more? And which parts do you value more? And who do you want to be?"
Moskovitz agrees. The love triangle is "about growing," he says. "It's about being young and seeing who you're going to be, which road are you going to go down, and they provide very different, but very exciting and vulnerable, paths for her to go down."
"I think it's going to be really exciting for the audience to see those different parts," he says of the titular character.

Looker also goes on the record to note that he has a clear allegiance when it comes to the romance. "I feel significantly more qualified to argue for Miles than I would have for Dustin at any point," he says. "I mean, at the beginning, he's not super nice to her in the first episode. Whereas Miles is kind of instantly openhearted in this really wonderful way."
