Stefani Sosa revealed that she took Ozempic before appearing on Dancing with the Stars

The professional dancer and actress, 26, shared in a Jan.2 10 TikTok that she wanted to “look the best I can”

Sosa said she’s no longer on the GLP-1 medication

Dancing with the Stars alum Stefani Sosa shared that she took Ozempic while competing on the reality show because she wanted to “look as best I can.”

“People have been asking me if I’m on Ozempic. I was on Ozempic when I was doing Dancing With the Stars last season,” the dancer and actress, 26, shared in a Jan. 10 TikTok video while getting ready to attend an event with her younger brother, fellow professional dancer Ezra Sosa.

As she explained, she took the GLP-1 medication during season 33 of the show because she “just wanted to look as best as I can as possible. It was my first time living my dream on camera, and I just wanted it to be perfect.”

She continued, “So yeah, I was on Ozempic, I’m currently off of it right now. I feel like my body has handled that really well. I was on it for a long time before Dancing with the Stars as well.”

Ozempic is a type of GLP-1 medication (glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists) that regulates appetite and increases feelings of fullness. It's FDA-approved to treat type 2 diabetes and has become widely used for weight loss.

It’s not the first time Sosa has been open about the steps she's taken to change her appearance. In December, she revealed that she’d undergone liposuction 360 surgery. It’s named for its full-circle method of targeting the abdomen, sides, and back, and as Sosa shared, it’s how she was able to “fully transform my body into what I have now.”

While sharing before and after pictures, Sosa explained, “I just wanted to shape my body and I had a really hard time my whole life trying to get the body that I’ve always wanted. I wanted to do it for me and my career. I was so fed up with the industry telling me how my body should look … I was just so over it and I needed to do it for me. So I did.”

When it came to the surgery, “my body completely changed, so it was a combination of that, and having a personal trainer, and eating relatively clean. It was the best decision I ever made, I feel like my life changed: my confidence, my happiness."
