Could two of Megan Moroney's new songs be about Riley Green?
On Monday, Jan. 12, the "6 Months Later" musician shared an Instagram teaser of her forthcoming single "Wish I Didn't."
"đ©· WISH I DIDNâT OUT FRIDAY đ©·," Moroney, 28, captioned the post, while sporting a pink, star-emblazoned pullover in the car.
In the footage, she mouthed the lyrics to the song about seeking revenge on a former flame: âYouâve got a hell of a reputation / So here I am patiently waiting / For that other shoe⊠or should I say boot to drop / Iâve heard all of the horror stories / Your graveyard of girls before me / If you play dirty, how do I say this? / Hell hath no fury."
The track continues, "You show up and youâve got all the right things to say / Itâs all sunshine and blue skies / But I can also make it rain / Donât make me wish I didnât get dressed upâŠ"
One fan commented that Moroney's line "make it rain" appeared to reference Green's 2024 track of the same name. "THE RILEY DIG!!" they wrote.
Another person commented, "This has Mr. Green written all over it!!! đ„đ„đ„ Love to hate it or hate to love it!"
"But I can also make it rainâ đ Riley Green I think this is for you," wrote another individual.
Another fan commented that Moroney was wearing sunglasses that had a strong reflection but dropped them in the teaser, referring to Green allegedly deleted and reposted a photo of him in sunglasses that appeared to show a woman who looked like Moroney while fans speculated they were on vacation together.
"SHE ALSO DROPPED THE SUNGLASSES TO "MAKE IT RAIN" it's like a reference to the viral reflection in the sunglasses pic rumoring they were together on vacay," they wrote.

During a conversation with media personality Elaina Smith shared on TikTok on Jan. 12, the "Beautiful Things" performer spoke about why her forthcoming track "Who Hurt You?" is particularly vulnerable?
Moroney said that with the song, she went "bar for bar" and "said everything" so that she no longer has to respond to questions about what she vaguely referred to as the "situation."
She noted that there should be "no further questions."
âLike you said, Iâm pretty consistently vulnerable, but thereâs one song, âWho Hurt You?â that Iâm really excited for. Bar for bar, didnât lie, said everything so that I donât have to answer interview questions about the situation," said Moroney.

She continued, "Yeah, and hereâs my piece, and thereâs no reason to ask me any questions about it because I told you what I needed to say. Iâm try to just be efficient here⊠Iâm like, have you heard the song? Like, there should be no further questions.â
One TikTok commenter wrote, "Def about Riley !!!!!," while another added, "Riley Green watching this," with a meme from The Simpsons with the text "I'm in danger."

In early 2025, Moroney was linked to Green, 37, after TikTok fans thought they were on vacation together, but by March, the "Worst Way" performer told the In the Blind podcast that he was âsingle.â
Green had also been linked to Ella Langley, with whom heâs done a pair of duets.
Moroney's third studio album Cloud 9 is out Feb. 20.
