Adrienne tells PEOPLE that doctors are not concerned about her baby's weight

A New York mom's baby boy is going viral for his large size at just 7 months old.

Back in August 2025, Lauren Wilson shared a video on Instagram of her adorable nephew Jaxson, who was only 7 months old at the time and weighed 25 lbs. and measured 26 inches long. She tells PEOPLE that she simply was "obsessed with him" and "wanted people to see how cute he is."

Her cute video of her nephew went viral within 24 hours, attracting millions of social media users. While many users were surprised at her nephew's size, Jaxson's mom, Adrienne Wilson, 29, tells PEOPLE her baby boy was "always on the chubbier side."

"Jaxson was born 7 lbs. 14 oz., [but] was always on the chubbier side," she says. "Jaxson just turned 1 this January! He weighs 33 pounds now!"

The public's reaction to her baby boy came as no surprise to Adrienne, who says she always gets stopped when she's out with her son.

"People's first reaction is always either how cute he is or how big he is," she tells PEOPLE. "I always get stopped while we are out!"

Although she's used to the attention, Adrienne admits that the reaction from the over 9.4 million viewers has taken some getting used to on her end. The doting mom tells PEOPLE it has been "very interesting" seeing all the reactions.

"It’s been very interesting," she shares. "Seeing so many people comment, like and share from so many different places in the world."

Now, at 14 months old, Adrienne tells PEOPLE that her son is "growing and glowing." She explains that doctors are "not concerned" about his weight since he's quite tall. She adds they anticipate his weight to distribute evenly as he stretches out and begins moving.

"Jaxson is practicing walking and can walk with support!" she says. "He isn't confident in his steps yet, but he is ready to take off!"

The proud mom describes her "happy and very silly" son as a "risk taker" who always "keeps me on my toes!" She adds that he "lets nothing hold him back" from what he wants to do.

"Jaxson is always happy and very silly!" she tells PEOPLE. "My favorite thing has honestly been seeing me change from who I was into full mama bear mode. I enjoy motherhood and [am] excited for the journey ahead as Jaxson continues to grow!"
